This lot is a blend of highest quality coffees from various small holder producers in the Ihuamaca area of the San Ignacio province in Northern Peru, carefully selected by Lima Coffee cooperative.
Lima Coffee was founded in 2016 by Rony Lavan Guerrero and a number of other speciality coffee producers from Ihuamaca. Rony, who had previously worked in the quality control with one of Peru’s largest coffee exporters, was very aware of the quality potential that some small producers were capable to deliver, but saw their coffees get routinely blended in large commercial lots. Lima Coffee was set to focus on aggregating the individual small holder lots, displaying the best cup qualities of Ihuamaca coffees, such as fruity chocolate and pronounced citric acidity. Through its dedicated work, Lima Coffee allows the best of the Ihuamaca small producers sell their best prepared lots for blending into speciality microlots destined for the US and other international speciality coffee markets.
This coffee is certified Organic.
