This lot is produced by the farmers of the Gora village, that forms part of Uddo Hadamma Kebele, situated in the Guji Highlands in Southern Ethiopia. The farms are quite small, with an average size of 3.5 hectares. The coffee grows under a canopy of natural forest, much like most of Guji coffees in the area. The fertile red soil is made of clay and loam. All of the Gora farmers are trained in agronomy and processing practices by the "King of Guji", Ture Waji. Coffee cherries are meticulously dried on raised beds, with each lot tracked with tags that record specific delivery and start of drying date as well as moisture content reading for each day.
This coffee is Certified Organic.
